Your intuition is always talking to you and if you are like most people, you probably ignore it. Why is this?

For the most part, many don’t know when their intuition is speaking and ignore it unintentionally. This is largely because we’ve created/absorbed so many layers of feelings, concepts, perceptions, thoughts etc. that our intuition has to fight through before it gets to our knowing. Sadly the majority of intuitive messages die in the layers with a lucky few that do make it to our knowing; but that’s not the end of the battle.

Once the message gets to our knowing mind, the layers resurface stronger than ever to pull out the intuitive message and we succumb to onslaught and concede “Its just me overthinking things” or “where did that come from? That’s too crazy to even consider!” At this point our intuition fades away into the back of our minds but leaves a faint trail, a faint scent that may linger for days, weeks, months and even years to come. That’s why you often hear people say “I knew something was wrong, I just couldn’t put my finger on it”.

How can you develop your ability to hear your intuition?

There are many ways. One of the simple ones is to learn to be still when you hear a small voice in your head; welcome what the voice is saying without judgement. Pray on whatever message you have received; ask for clarity and guidance from the creator of the heavens and Earth. Meditate on it, quieten your mind and focus on the message. What new thoughts are coming to you? What are you sensing in your spirit?

This is hard work of the soul that many shy away from and would rather stick to tried and tested tools like logic when making sense of the world within and around us. However if you put in the effort and develop your intuition, a whole new world of possibilities will open up to you.
